Starting and stopping is always difficult. I wrestle with the same old things. The joy of talking to you, and a genuine interest in catching up. I know you feel it too...
...but I understand why you don't want to continue.
This time I don't want to strain things by arguing with the same "but you said/but you feel" points as I have in the past. I know we both care. I care more than words can say. That will never change.
I want to be a positive force in the lives of everyone who is important to me. You will ALWAYS be important. Like Desmond Hume, you are uniquely and miraculously special. The rules don't apply to you.
You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I'll be rooting for you. I truly mean that. It may mean very little to you, because I'm aware that so much in your life is more immediate and pressing. I accept that I'm relegated to the background somewhere, but I do hope it provides you with a measure of comfort.
I miss you, but I will find everything good in all of this... and I'll continue to honor everything shared between us.
